Leszek Paul, geboren 1963, ist freischaffender Künstler und Mitglied des berufsverbandes bildender künstler berlin e.V..
Er schloss sein Studium an der Fakultät für Malerei der Warschauer Akademie der Schönen Künste 1990 mit einem Diplom im Atelier von Professor Zbigniew Gostomski ab.
Sein Abenteuer mit dem Theater begann er 1982 als Bühnenbildassistent am Großen Theater in Łódź und setzte es dann fort, indem er gleichzeitig am Nationaltheater in Warschau studierte. Im Jahr 1991 ging er mit einem privaten Stipendium nach London, dann nach Amsterdam und Berlin, wo er sich schließlich dauerhaft niederließ.
Er arbeitete als Bühnen- und Kostümbildner in Schauspiel- und Operntheatern sowie im Fernsehtheater.
In den letzten Jahren hat er sich auf Malerei und Videokunst konzentriert. Seine Werke sind in privaten und öffentlichen Sammlungen zu finden. Gleichzeitig übersetzt er seit einigen Jahren zeitgenössische griechische Lyrik ins Polnische.
Leszek Paul, born in 1963, is a freelance artist and member of the berufsverband bildender künstler berlin e.V..
He graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in 1990 with a diploma in the studio of Professor Zbigniew Gostomski.
He began his adventure with the theatre in 1982 as an assistant stage designer at the Great Theatre in Łódź and then continued it by studying at the National Theatre in Warsaw at the same time. In 1991 he went to London on a private scholarship, then to Amsterdam and Berlin, where he finally settled permanently.
He worked as a set and costume designer in drama and opera theatres as well as in television theatre.
In recent years he has concentrated on painting and video art. His works can be found in private and public collections. At the same time, he has been translating contemporary Greek poetry into Polish for several years.
